These terms apply to all purchases, sample requests, deliveries, collections, returns and related services supplied by Homes & Floors. By placing an order, the client confirms acceptance of these terms.
The Company

Description of Goods
The images advertised or offered to our clients are typically actual or digitalised photos of the product specified. However, some stock photos may show products from previous batches.
Please note that where the same product is manufactured in different batches, some variation may occur from batch to batch. In the case of real wood flooring, there is also natural variation within a batch.
Our photos are intended as a guide only, and we strongly recommend ordering a sample cut of the wood planks or tiles before processing a full order.
Due to the wide number of products we sell and regular stock changes, product specifications such as pack sizes may also be subject to change. Clients are always advised to seek full clarity on all relevant details prior to ordering.
Pricing
The price payable for each product is clearly displayed on each advertisement. Prices are shown per sqm (square metre) in pounds sterling and are inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.
- All trade and wholesale prices are shown ex VAT.
- Prices do not include delivery costs unless clearly stated as part of a special offer.
- Mispricing or defunct adverts may occasionally remain visible due to the volume of listings.
- Please always confirm final product and pricing details with our sales team before completing your order.
- Special offers such as free delivery and percentage discount codes cannot be used together unless stated otherwise.
Ordering
You can purchase directly from the website using the shopping cart. Each product may be available in sample, pack or pallet quantities.
Alternatively, you may contact us directly to place an order, in which case we can issue a pro forma invoice by email for payment.
Most advertised products are held in UK warehouses and typically have a lead time of 2–5 working days, or 24 hours for next day delivery where available. A smaller proportion of products may be stocked in European warehouses, so please enquire for exact lead times.
Payments
Once payment has been made, a contract of sale is created between Homes & Floors and the client.
- Debit / Credit Card
- Bank Transfer
We accept payments by bank transfer and issue pro forma invoices with our bank details by email. Once payment has been confirmed, the order is processed for delivery.
Delivery
Delivery is carried out by third-party pallet courier companies. Once the delivery provider has collected the goods from the warehouse, any cancellation may still leave the client liable for transportation return charges.
Pallet delivery industry standard is kerbside delivery. Drivers are not insured to enter private premises or residences.
Once a delivery date has been arranged and the goods have been collected, the client is responsible for making the necessary arrangements to receive the delivery. If delivery cannot be completed, or is delayed due to the client’s actions, the client will be liable for associated transport and/or restocking costs.
- Economy Delivery: typically 2–5 working days from receipt of payment.
- Premium Delivery: next working day delivery. Order and payment must be completed by 12:00pm.
In the event of a late delivery caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as traffic congestion or accidents, Homes & Floors shall not be liable for resulting costs. We therefore recommend receiving the goods before booking fitters or installers.
Inspection of Goods
All clients are instructed to check the following before signing for delivery:
- That the correct product has been delivered.
- That the delivery contains the correct number of boxes.
- That the pallet(s) show no obvious visible damage.
If there are any issues, it is recommended that clients do not sign for the delivery and instead contact our office immediately for assistance.
The client must thoroughly check the shade, look and appearance of the floor or tile prior to installation. Once installed, the product is deemed accepted and Homes & Floors shall not be liable for subsequent claims regarding appearance.
Cancellations and Return
If an order has been paid for and prepared for dispatch, and the client then chooses to cancel it, the client shall be liable for all costs incurred up to that point. This may include, but is not limited to, restocking fees, pallet courier costs or other postal service charges.
If the client wishes to return goods, in whole or in part, where the goods are not damaged or defective, they will be responsible for all courier costs, including arranging return delivery, as well as a 25% restocking fee.
- All returns must be notified to Homes & Floors within 28 days of the original delivery date.
- Refunds are only processed after returned goods have been verified at the warehouse.
- Refunds are only issued for goods deemed to be in resalable condition.
- Refunds may take up to 7 days to process after receipt of the returned goods.
Damaged and/or Defective Goods
As outlined above, it is the client’s responsibility to check that the goods are correct before signing for them. Signing for them is considered acceptance.
However, we understand that not all damage or defects can be identified through a cursory inspection. In such cases, the following terms apply:
- The client should notify Homes & Floors within 7 days of discovering damage or defects.
- Photographic or video evidence may be required.
- If no claim is made within 7 days of the delivery date, the goods will be considered acceptable and no liability will be incurred thereafter.
- Where faults are confirmed as resulting from faulty design, materials or workmanship, Homes & Floors may repair or replace the goods.
- Homes & Floors shall not be liable to pay compensation beyond repair or replacement.
If a client claims damage after installation due to allegedly defective products, this must be validated by an independent flooring inspector. Claims without an official report will not be covered by any manufacturer’s structural warranty.
